Reporting to the Environmental Manager the Environmental Specialist will be responsible foronsite environmental oversight to ensure construction activities comply with regulatory client and projectspecific requirements while supporting environmental reporting training and performance monitoring.

What Youll Do Here:

• Maintain the Environmental Management System and ensure compliance with applicable best practices regulations Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and site-specific plans.
• Provide reports and attend on-site meetings as required.
• Manage data collection storage and analysis.
• Oversee daily construction activities to ensure work is completed in compliance with all relevant client requirements as well as provincial and/or federal regulations.
• Develop implement and monitor environmental programs and policies.
• Provide advice to project leadership regarding environmental matters as they relate to construction activities.
• Monitor construction activities and evaluate compliance with applicable standards contract documents and client commitments.
• Monitor and report any potential environmental issues and recommendations for appropriate mitigation and corrective actions.
• Provide training to employees and contractors on environmental awareness.
• Draft review and submit daily field reports incident reports and compliance audits.
• Track key project performance indicators and develop reports.
• Work with project coordinators/managers using interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed in accordance with an established scope of work.
• Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity welcome different perspectives and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science or other relevant disciplines.
• 6 years experience of major infrastructure projects.
• Experience conducting construction site environmental monitoring activities.
• Experience working successfully in large multi-disciplinary engineering design teams and heavy civil construction teams.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Provincial and Federal regulations codes permits approvals and technical applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook Word Power Point Excel SharePoint).
• Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.
• Background checks required.
• Valid Drivers license.

The expected pay range for this role is $80000 - $110000 per year

Individual pay is determined based on several factors including work location education experience unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications specialized training and the complexity or scope of the role.
