Summary
We are looking for an intermediate backend-focused Developer to join our team. Your mission will be to actively contribute to the development and maintenance of our network automation platforms. You will work on projects that will shape the future of Bells networks collaborating closely with other developers and experts. This role requires experience in developing high-quality software applications. You will be an essential team member responsible for implementing features and ensuring the quality and performance of your code.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust scalable and high-performance backend APIs and services.
- Collaborate with developers product experts and other stakeholders to integrate new functionalities.
- Write clean testable and efficient code and actively participate in code reviews to ensure overall solution quality.
- Contribute to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the platforms architecture and performance.
- Take part in database management and optimization.
Critical Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiencyin Python and a modern backend framework (e.g. FastAPI).
- Good knowledgeof TypeScript and familiarity with a frontend framework like .
- Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot Claude Gemini) to optimize the software development lifecycle code reviews and documentation.
- Good understandingof microservices software architecture concepts.
- Experience with SQL databases.
- Experience working in an Agile software development team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud computing (AWS Azure OpenShift).
- Experience with container technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
- Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka RabbitMQ etc.).
- Comfortable collaborating on frontend development tasks when needed.
- Practical knowledge of integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) via APIs and working with modern Generative AI architectures.
- Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts.
- Strong interest in applying AI technologies within the scope of automation network orchestration or AIOps.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
