We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hydraulic Technician to install maintain troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of hydraulic and pneumatic this role you will diagnose system failures rebuild fluid power components and ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Shop Manage the ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude the ability to read complex schematics and a commitment to precision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and Diagnose:Trace fluid power circuits to identify malfunctions pressure losses leaks and mechanical failures in cylinders pumps valves and motors.
  • Repair and Rebuild:Disassemble clean inspect and rebuild hydraulic components replacing worn parts seals and gaskets as needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance:Conduct routine inspections fluid analysis filter changes and pressure testing to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Schematic Interpretation:Read and accurately interpret hydraulic blueprints circuit diagrams and technical manuals to execute repairs.
  • Component Testing:Utilize flow meters pressure gauges and test benches to verify that repaired components meet original manufacturer specifications.
  • Fabrication and Installation:Measure cut bend and install hydraulic hoses steel tubing and fittings safely.
  • Documentation:Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities parts used test results and service recommendations.
  • Safety and Compliance:Adhere strictly to all safety protocols lockout/tagout procedures and environmental regulations regarding fluid disposal.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of a relevant technical school program Journeyman Industrial or Heavy-Duty mechanic certificate.
  • Experience:Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working directly with hydraulic systems and fluid power components.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency with standard hand tools power tools diagnostic gauges and torque wrenches.
  • Physical Demands:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs stand for long periods and work in tight or awkward physical spaces.
  • Welding/Fabricating: Ability to weld and fabricate would be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills: Both oral and written
