Senior Systems Testing QA Specialist
Job Summary
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies test plans test cases test scripts and test data.
- Plan organize and implement testing activities for large and complex systems.
- Perform functional integration system regression non-functional performance load and stress testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and automated test cases.
- Create complex test plans and coordinate defects throughout the complete testing lifecycle.
- Provide input into project-level test strategy and testing scope.
- Assist in defining testing scope during project iterations.
- Establish appropriate entry and exit criteria for system testing activities.
- Plan and lead peer reviews of test plans test cases and other testing artefacts.
- Create and manage a variety of test data using tools such as SOAP UI Swagger and Postman.
- Execute API and integration testing and validate application behaviour under different conditions.
- Perform database verification using SQL in an Oracle environment.
- Validate data integrity consistency and accuracy across applications and databases.
- Perform data migration and transformation testing where required.
- Create document prioritize and manage software defects based on priority and severity.
- Enter track and coordinate defects using industry-standard defect management tools such as Azure DevOps JIRA ALM Bugzilla TestRail or Zephyr.
- Participate in and/or lead regular defect review processes.
- Report test results testing progress test coverage quality metrics and outstanding defects.
- Review test results produced by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test data preparation and test execution.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce investigate and resolve application issues.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts Project Managers developers Testing Leads and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and testing expectations.
- Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
- Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner including analysis of performance bottlenecks and scalability.
- Support accessibility testing and demonstrate knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requirements and related standards.
- Maintain detailed testing documentation and provide input to user manuals and release notes.
- Ensure testing activities follow applicable quality assurance standards methodologies and regulatory requirements.
- Support troubleshooting issue analysis scope management and overall quality objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Demonstrated system testing expertise through:
- Development of automated test scripts
- Creation and execution of complex test plans
- Coordination and management of defects throughout the testing lifecycle
- Experience following a clearly defined test strategy.
- Experience creating and executing test plans and maintaining test cases.
- Experience with functional integration and regression testing of web application components and reports.
- Experience creating test entry and exit criteria.
- Experience coding automated test scripts and developing automated test cases.
- Knowledge and experience with automated testing tools and version control systems.
- Expertise in creating a variety of test data using automated/API testing tools including one or more of:
- SOAP UI
- Swagger
- Postman
- Experience using automated test tools to support functional and regression testing during project iterations.
- Experience preparing test data for UAT and other testing activities.
- Experience developing and managing robust test data strategies.
- Experience creating and managing project defects based on priority and severity.
- Experience entering tracking and coordinating defects through the complete testing lifecycle.
- Experience participating in or leading defect review meetings/processes.
- Experience reporting testing results and defect status to project stakeholders.

Required Skills:
Qualifications Registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). Minimum 1 year of experience conducting client assessments. Minimum 1 year of experience performing home and environmental assessments. Experience assessing mobility equipment patient lifts/hoists and safe patient transfers. Strong assessment clinical reasoning and documentation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid Ontario drivers licence and reliable transportation preferred. Professional liability insurance (or ability to obtain coverage if required). Compensation Project-based / per-assessment compensation. Expected range: Approximately $120$200 per assessment depending on assignment complexity travel requirements and reporting expectations. Required Education:
Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy (minimum qualification if eligible for registration in Ontario)Masters degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT/MScOT) (Preferred; this is the current standard for new graduates in Canada)
