Summary
We are seeking a Senior Security Operations Specialist II with hands-on experience in network security operations advanced troubleshooting operational support and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership support secure implementation ofnew technologies and act as an escalation point for complex network and security issues in a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor support andmaintainnetwork security infrastructure.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network security and operational issues.
- Manage incidents problems service requests and change requests.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Support deployment and secure implementation of new technologiesand solutions.
- Assess and communicate risks affecting network and security services.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices network segmentation and firewallstandards.
- Support enterprise security services including patching endpoint protection encryption PKI and Active Directory.
- Analyze recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Automate tasks using scripting Git Ansible and related tools.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior team members and providetechnical guidance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support coverage.
- Support infrastructure upgrades and lifecycle management.
Critical Qualifications
- 5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network security cybersecurity operations and critical infrastructure in a complex enterprise environment.
- University degree in Telecommunications Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of enterprise security services including patching Anti-Virus/IPS Encryption PKI and Active Directory.
- Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP OSPF MPLS STP MLAG VSS VPC).
- Experience with Fortinet Cisco Palo Alto F5 Juniper Arista or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of security zoning network segmentation and firewall/DMZ principles.
- Experience with Git and automation tools such as Ansible.
- Knowledge of the ELK stack (Elasticsearch Kibana Logstash) and agentic pipelines.
- Understanding of software development best practices and use of AI models for scalable code development.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Basic experience with Kubernetes workloads.
- Strong communication documentation analytical and problem-solving skills.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
