About the role

This is a hands-on product role. You take a user problem work out what to build design it build it with AI coding tools ship it and check whether it worked. You do this yourself start to finish without handing it off to someone else to design or code.

You will work on the companys consumer app and website and on the internal and partner-facing tools that sit behind them. You report to the Director of Product and work closely with the companys global engineering team who own the core platform you build on. The team works across time zones so clear written communication matters.

We are open to people who came up as designers or as product managers as long as you ship code comfortably today. What matters is that you know your craft properly and you can build.

What you will do

  • Own product problems from start to finish: frame the problem decide the solution design it build it and ship it.

  • Write and commit code on top of the companys platform using AI coding tools as a main part of how you work.

  • Set the success measures for each feature you own and track them yourself.

  • Pull and read data (SQL dashboards) to decide what to build next and whether a change worked.

  • Talk to users and look at how they use the product to find the next problem worth solving.

  • Work on problems that touch both sides of the platform consumers and the business users who serve them and keep the two consistent.

  • Work with the global engineering team to flag platform needs early and stay within the agreed product layer.

  • Pair with a junior developer on the team and help build their product thinking.

  • Write down what you learn in the teams product process so the next person can get up to speed on their own.

What you bring

  • Real training in design or product management from school or from a few years of doing the job. You can explain why you make the calls you make not only what you did.

  • You ship code. You are comfortable in a modern web or app codebase and can show work you have built and put in front of real users.

  • A formal coding background is not required. Coding with AI counts if you can explain and fix what you built.

  • You use AI tools every day for research design coding and testing and you can tell when the output is wrong.

  • You are comfortable with data and can reason about metrics and the business side of a decision.

  • You have owned at least one product problem from idea to launch and taken responsibility for how it turned out.

  • You write clearly and give and take direct feedback well.
