The Opportunity:
South Bow is seeking a Senior Investor Relations Analyst to join its Investor Relations team. Reporting to the Director Investor Relations this role supports communications and relationships between South Bow and the investment community helping ensure investors and analysts receive clear accurate and timely information about the Companys performance strategy and outlook.
As a key member of the Investor Relations team you will help shape and communicate South Bows investment story by translating complex financial and business information into clear and compelling narratives for investors analysts and other capital markets stakeholders. You will play an important role in preparing earnings and disclosure materials monitoring industry and market trends and providing insights that support strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will bring strong analytical financial and communication skills along with the ability to distill large volumes of information into meaningful insights and compelling written and visual materials. This role offers broad exposure across South Bows business and direct involvement in the Companys investor communications disclosure processes and engagement with the investment community.
What You Will Do:
- Support the development implementation and execution of South Bows investor relations program.
- Develop quarterly disclosure materials including news releases investor presentations earnings call scripts key messages and other investor relations materials.
- Prepare materials for the Board of Directors and senior leadership.
- Monitor and analyze shareholder ownership trading activity consensus estimates valuation metrics and peer performance.
- Provide insights on industry trends investor sentiment competitive positioning and broader capital markets developments.
- Contribute to investor engagement and investor targeting activities developing and maintaining relationships with investors analysts and other capital markets stakeholders.
- Prepare and coordinate briefing materials for investor meetings conferences non-deal roadshows and other capital markets events including periodic travel to support investor engagement activities.
- Support the development of other corporate disclosures including managements discussion and analysis management information circulars and sustainability reports.
- Contribute to special projects and corporate initiatives where investor relations market intelligence or capital markets expertise is required.
- Work collaboratively with internal experts to gather information for accurate and effective investor relations materials and develop a deep understanding of South Bows business.
- Work closely with Accounting and Legal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and disclosure obligations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for investor relations and capital markets activities establishing best practices and providing mentorship across the function.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Commerce Business Finance Economics or a related discipline.
- 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in investor relations corporate finance capital markets corporate reporting equity research or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail a focus on accuracy and high-quality standards and the ability to self-edit and review.
- Excellent communication skills including written verbal and presentation with the ability to distill large amounts of information into clear concise and impactful messaging.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior leaders and internal experts throughout the organization as well as external capital markets stakeholders.
- Strong analytical financial modelling and valuation skills with a demonstrated understanding of financial statements valuation methodologies and capital markets.
- Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality where required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong collaborator who is naturally curious and has a genuine desire to learn.
- Professional designation (CFA CPA) would be considered an asset.
- Experience in a publicly traded company and a strong understanding of earnings processes disclosure requirements investor communications and securities regulations.
- Prior experience in the energy infrastructure utilities or transportation sectors is considered an asset.
