Who We Are:
Heritage Park is Canadas largest living history museum and offers visitors a chance to experience life in Western Canada from the 1860s to the early 1950s. The park features historical buildings costumed interpreters working antiques and various exhibits that provide insight into the regions past.
Job Overview:
The Senior Financial Analystplays a key role in strengthening Heritage Parks financial planningoperational decisionmaking and longtermsustainability. This role supports budgeting forecasting financial analysisand management reporting across the organization working closely with budgetholders to provide clear practical insights that help shape both daytodayoperations and strategic direction.
Responsibilities:
Budgeting& Forecasting Support
- Assist in coordinating the annual budget process includingtemplates assumptions timelines consolidation.
- Prepare forward-looking financial projections in collaborationwith Finance leadership and departmental budget holders to support quarterlyforecast process.
- Support labour budgeting and seasonal workforce costanalysis in partnership with People & Culture.
- Maintain financial models that support scenario planning andorganizational decision-making.
FinancialAnalysis & Business Support
- Partner with departmental leaders to provide timely financialanalysis variance explanations and decision support to assigned departments.
- Contribute to business cases and financial models thatsupport new initiatives operational changes.
- Prepare cost pricing profitability and revenue analysis tosupport operational decisions.
- Support cost modelling variance analysis and financialtracking for capital projects in collaboration with Capital Planning team.
- Identify emerging financial trends and bring insights forreview.
Management Reporting & PerformanceAnalysis
- Prepare monthly financial analysis and variance commentaryfor management reporting.
- Support KPI development and performance analysis thatconnects financial results to operational drivers.
- Contribute financial information and analysis for theExecutive Leadership Team and committee reporting.
ReportingTools Systems & Process Improvement
- Help develop dashboards and reporting tools that make financialinformation more accessible.
- Leverage Business Central Excel and business intelligence toolsto improve accuracy and accessibility.
- Assist with financial process improvements documentationand internal control support.
- Contribute to ERP optimization and reporting enhancements incollaboration with Finance and IT.

Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting Finance EconomicsBusiness Administration or a related field.
- CPA designation or active progress toward a CPA designationis preferred.
- We welcome candidates with diverse FP&A backgrounds whowant to contribute to a missiondriven organization. A minimum of five (5)years of progressive FP&A experience including supporting budget andforecast cycles is required.
- Strong financial modelling skills and advanced Excelcapability.
- Experience providing variance analysis managementreporting and financial recommendations.
- Ability to translate financial information into clearactionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 BusinessCentral and Jet Reports.
- Allsuccessful candidates (over the age of 18) will be required to complete aPolice Information Check as a condition of employment. - Additional Assets
- Experience with Power BI or comparable business intelligenceand visualization tools.
- Experience with seasonal tourism hospitality attractionsor attendance-driven business models.
- Labour costing or workforce-planning analysis experience.
- Experience improving or automating financial reportingprocesses.
Hours of Work:
- The standard hours for this position are 35 hours per week;
- Occasional holiday evening and weekend work may be required
