The Service Technician will be responsible for the installation integration commissioning and servicing of advanced security systems including access control systems CCTV intrusion alarms and intercom systems. This role demands a high level of technical expertise attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations.
How you will do it:
Efficiently install and inspect equipment to meet and exceed customer expectations adhering to manufacturer specifications.
Coordinate field activities and communicate effectively to ensure seamless system programming integrations and commissioning.
Diagnose and address equipment issues providing robust troubleshooting for field wiring problems.
Advise customers on optimal solutions for restoring systems to full functionality.
Effectively manage service calls ensuring accurate allocation of field labor hours for maximum efficiency.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues.
Prepare comprehensive reports documenting daily activities and system performance.
Adhere to safety policies and guidelines maintaining a strong culture of integrity and operational safety.
Operate with proficiency in confined spaces and at heights utilizing appropriate tools and safety equipment.
Collaborate with team members to deliver integrated solutions leveraging diverse perspectives and expertise.
What we look for:
A valid BC Security TQ Licence is required.
Proficient in Windows MS Server and Microsoft Office Suite with a solid understanding of IT network systems.
Skilled in using hand and power tools as well as diagnostic equipment like multi-meters and digital analyzers.
Experience with the installation and servicing of security systems such as C-Cure 9000 Kantech Genetec Lenel/S2 and others.
Minimum high school diploma or trade school graduate; a technical degree in electronics or computers is preferred.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $28-$40 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education experienceknowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with marketdata.)
