Position: Security Specialist - Risk Management Department (Part Time)
Location: Lowertown Brew Pub
Join Ottawa Venues and our 20 fantastic locations in Ottawa as a Security Specialist! As a Security Specialist you will represent our business with integrity and pride while keeping our staff and patrons safe through customer service de-escalation and strategic decision making.
Duties:

• Ensure a fun safe and secure environment for our staff and customers.
• Build positive relationships.
• Provide a visible security presence in assigned location.
• Provide customer service and a friendly face to customers.
• Pro-actively identify deter and prevent illegal activity and safety and security incidents by observing customer behaviours.
• Enforce the House Policies Trespass to Property Act and Liquor License Act.
• Respond to and resolve incidents.
• De-escalate situations and resolve conflicts with a focus on positive outcomes.
• Use appropriate force when necessary to protect persons and property.
• Complete incident reports and relevant documentation.
• Liaise with Ottawa Police and AGCO personnel as required.
• Attend all scheduled shifts.

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• SmartServe (must be obtained within first 30 days of hire).
• Valid First Aid certificate
• Customer Service Focus
