Position Overview

Calgary Construction Operations is hiring aRubber Tire Backhoe Operator inCalgary Albertafor the 2026 Season.

Key Responsibilities

• Dig trenches excavate foundations backfill utility lines and perform site grading.
• Load and unload materials move cargo and assist ground crews on active construction pr public work sites.
• Efficiently change and operate specialized machine tools like breakers or tampers.
• Complete daily pre- and post operational checks on fluids levels tires and hydraulic hoses
• Verify underground utility locates before digging and maintain safe distances from traffic and workers
• Operate Hoe on public roadways always being aware of surroundings.
• Use equipment to move dirt gravel and other materials.
• Will be operating multiple types of equipment such as hoe dozer skid steer etc.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner following all safety regulations.
• Preventative maintenance of equipment and daily safety checks.
• Work collaboratively with crew.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Knowledge & Experience

• 3 years experience as an operator.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors co-workers in a courteous professional manner at all times.
• Maintains a valid Class 5 drivers license.
• Willing to work overtime nightshift and weekends as required.
• Must comply with the companys drug & alcohol program including testing requirement.
• Other duties as assigned.
