Job Summary
RQ00768 - DevOPS/Cloud Engineer - Senior
Location: 3 days ONSITE atMetro Hall 55 John Street Toronto
Duration: 6 Months (130 Business Days) Possible extension of 6 Months.
Must Haves:
- Experience in one of the leading cloud platforms such as AWS OpenShift etc.
- Experience in maintaining complex Linux cloud environments like CentOS Ubuntu to support applications and services.
- Experience in scripting languages like Python Bash Java JavaScript Node etc.
- Experience in build tools like Git Ansible CloudFormation ytt etc. for continuous integration
- Experience in application code containerization and container-based virtualization technology like Docker K8S etc.
- GitLab CI/CD required
Public Sector Experience: Preferred
Qualifications and Experience:
- University/College degree in Computer Science. Certification in Software Engineering or equivalent a definite asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven hiring records with cloud platform and CI/CD pipelines related positions.
- Extensive experience in all facets of application development lifecycle (unit functional integration system regression penetration performance and user acceptance testing) a definite asset
- Solid experience in executing Systems Integration using Linux Shell scripting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in tracking problems and defects within a large project.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Technical Capabilities:
- Experience in one of the leading cloud platforms such as AWS OpenShift etc.
- Experience in maintaining complex Linux cloud environments like CentOS Ubuntu to support applications and services.
- Experience in scripting languages like Python Bash Java JavaScript Node etc.
- Experience in build tools like Git Ansible CloudFormation ytt etc. for continuous integration
- Experience in application code containerization and container-based virtualization technology like Docker K8S etc.
- Experience in container management and orchestration to automate application
- deployment application scaling/clustering monitoring and others
- Integration experience in building and using APIs or other integration endpoints
- Experience applying industry web architectural and security standards and best
- practices.
The candidate is responsible for:
- Assess frameworks platform or tech stack to assist in creating cloud-based solutions
- Design build and support cloud environments to deploy digital products.
- Design build develop and administer CI/CD pipeline to support continuous development and deployment of modular cloud-based systems
- Monitor and assess the performance of applications in a cloud environment to ensure solutions are available.
- Identify analyze and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
- Create test and implement safeguards to maintain data integrity and protect against unauthorized access.
