Rope Access Apprentice Pipefitter (2nd, 3rd and 4th Year)

Tacten is seeking professional energetic and forward-thinking2nd 3rd & 4th Year Apprentice Pipefitters to support our client site at CNRL Albian in Fort McMurray AB!

We will certify you in IRATA Level 1 (Rope Access) course and offer flexible project schedules that you can work throughout the year flights and camp/accommodations!

Project Details:

• Site: CNRL Albian
• Start Date: Immediate
• Local to Fort McMurray or able to fly out of Alberta Hubs (FIFO) Calgary or Edmonton
• Projects Rotations - 6/1 at 12 hours per day

• Assist with the installation maintenance and repair of industrial piping systems and equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints P&IDs and isometric drawings
• Measure cut thread and assemble pipe using hand and power tools
• Support hydrotesting bolt-up rigging and system commissioning activities
• Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures and participate in FLHAs and toolbox meetings
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work collaboratively with Journeyperson Pipefitters and other trades to complete work safely and efficiently
• Complete required paperwork inspections and daily reports as needed
• Support maintenance shutdown turnaround and construction projects in oil & gas environments

• Registered Apprentice Pipefitting Certificate
• IRATA Level 1 required or willingness to obtain. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as well.
• CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO

• Strong work ethic
• Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
• Exceptional safety and quality awareness
• Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
• Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
• Valid drivers license
