Remote Java Developer

This position is open to candidates residing in Canada Mexico or the United States.

Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain robust scalable and high-performance Java-based applications.
Collaborate with product managers instructional designers and other stakeholders to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle from initial concept and design through to testing deployment and support.
Write clean maintainable and well-documented code following best practices.
Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge within the team.
Troubleshoot debug and resolve issues in our production and non-production environments.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and technology stack.

Qualifications
Proven professional experience in Java software development.
Strong proficiency with the Java language and core libraries.
Experience with common Java frameworks such as Spring or similar.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
Experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL) and writing efficient SQL queries.
Familiarity with version control systems particularly Git.
Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote setting.
