Quality Coordinator, Infrastructure

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications regulatory requirements and company standards
• Conduct field inspections audits and quality reviews to verify adherence to contract requirements and identify potential quality issues
• Track document and manage non-conformances ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and monitored for effectiveness
• Maintain and organize quality documentation including inspection reports test records compliance documentation and turnover packages
• Prepare and submit quality reports for project leadership clients and regulatory agencies while monitoring quality performance indicators and trends
• Coordinate with field teams subcontractors consultants and suppliers to ensure materials workmanship and construction activities meet project requirements
• Review vendor and subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
• Participate in quality review meetings and support the development and implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support the standardization of quality documentation inspection methodologies and reporting processes across the project
• Provide guidance and training to project teams on quality procedures inspection requirements documentation standards and industry best practices
• Demonstrate leadership in health safety and environmental protection and support compliance with the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP)

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the construction infrastructure transit or industrial sectors
• Completion of post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or a related field is required
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects for a General Contractor in Canada
• Previous experience supporting construction activities in active rail corridors or on heavy civil infrastructure projects
• Experience on Metrolinx projects is highly regarded and preferred; familiarity with Metrolinx quality requirements standards and compliance processes is considered a significant asset
• Working knowledge of quality management systems including ISO 9001 CSA standards and other applicable quality frameworks
• Strong understanding of construction codes inspection techniques materials methods and industry best practices
• Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings specifications contract documents and technical documentation
• Experience conducting quality inspections audits non-conformance investigations and corrective action tracking
• Knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations applicable to construction projects
• Must possess a valid provincial drivers license

Working Conditions:

• Site-based position with frequent visits to active construction sites in Oshawa Ontario
• Willing to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments
• Regular standing walking and working in outdoor construction environments
• Use of inspection tools standard office equipment and quality management software

Compensation

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience knowledge skills education and location.
