Quality Coordinator, Infrastructure
Job Summary
Ledcor is hiring a Quality Coordinator to join our team on a major GO Transit project. This site-based opportunity in Oshawa offers the chance to grow your career while contributing to infrastructure that will serve Ontarians for generations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications regulatory requirements and company standards
- Conduct field inspections audits and quality reviews to verify adherence to contract requirements and identify potential quality issues
- Track document and manage non-conformances ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and monitored for effectiveness
- Maintain and organize quality documentation including inspection reports test records compliance documentation and turnover packages
- Prepare and submit quality reports for project leadership clients and regulatory agencies while monitoring quality performance indicators and trends
- Coordinate with field teams subcontractors consultants and suppliers to ensure materials workmanship and construction activities meet project requirements
- Review vendor and subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
- Participate in quality review meetings and support the development and implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the standardization of quality documentation inspection methodologies and reporting processes across the project
- Provide guidance and training to project teams on quality procedures inspection requirements documentation standards and industry best practices
- Demonstrate leadership in health safety and environmental protection and support compliance with the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP)
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the construction infrastructure transit or industrial sectors
- Completion of post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or a related field is required
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects for a General Contractor in Canada
- Previous experience supporting construction activities in active rail corridors or on heavy civil infrastructure projects
- Experience on Metrolinx projects is highly regarded and preferred; familiarity with Metrolinx quality requirements standards and compliance processes is considered a significant asset
- Working knowledge of quality management systems including ISO 9001 CSA standards and other applicable quality frameworks
- Strong understanding of construction codes inspection techniques materials methods and industry best practices
- Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings specifications contract documents and technical documentation
- Experience conducting quality inspections audits non-conformance investigations and corrective action tracking
- Knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations applicable to construction projects
- Must possess a valid provincial drivers license
Working Conditions:
- Site-based position with frequent visits to active construction sites in Oshawa Ontario
- Willing to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments
- Regular standing walking and working in outdoor construction environments
- Use of inspection tools standard office equipment and quality management software
Compensation
$76500.00 - $102000.00This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience knowledge skills education and location.
