A large public sector organization is undertaking a major digital transformation initiative to deliver simpler more efficient and user-centric services. A centralized digital delivery division has been established to drive innovation modernization and service excellence through human-centered design agile methodologies and modern data practices.
This division partners with multiple departments to review existing services identify improvement opportunities and deliver high-quality digital solutions that are efficient effective and scalable.
The team is seeking multiple QA Automation Developers to support service innovation program reviews and digital transformation initiatives. Resources will work within cross-functional agile teams collaborating on research backlog refinement sprint planning and delivery.
The QA Automation Developer will play a key role in ensuring quality across digital products and services. This includes developing test strategies implementing automation frameworks and promoting best practices in quality engineering across teams.
- Lead quality assurance efforts across digital service delivery
- Develop comprehensive test plans for continuous and frequent releases
- Create detailed test cases and test scenarios
- Design and execute:
- System testing
- Load and performance testing
- Security testing
- Build and maintain automated test suites
- Coordinate contributions to shared automation frameworks
- Support CI/CD pipelines with automated testing integrations
- Promote and support best practices such as:
- Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Code linting and test coverage standards
- Contribute to reusable testing frameworks and components
- Support initiatives involving test data management and AI-driven testing
- Define and track quality metrics
- Implement automated collection of testing metrics
- Generate automated reports and quality artifacts
- Primarily remote within Canada
- Occasional onsite meetings/workshops in Edmonton (with reasonable notice)
- Travel time and expenses are not covered
- Work schedule may vary depending on project needs
