Job Summary

QA/QC Mechanical

Bird is looking for a QA/QC Mechanical Inspector to support quality assurance and quality control activities on a major nuclear construction project in Tiverton Ontario. Reporting to project quality leadership the successful candidate will work closely with construction engineering subcontractors and client representatives to ensure mechanical work is completed in accordance with project specifications applicable codes and standards client requirements and Birds Quality Management System.

This position is based at the Tiverton project site.

It requires successful completion of required security screening and site access requirements.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Perform inspections of mechanical systems equipment piping and installations.
  • Verify compliance with drawings specifications codes standards and project requirements.
  • Complete inspections walkdowns surveillance activities and testing documentation.
  • Support Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) turnover packages and quality records.
  • Identifyand document deficiencies NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Participate in commissioning system turnover and project closeout activities.
  • Maintainaccuratequality documentation and records.
  • Promote a culture of quality compliance and continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3 years of QA/QC inspection or mechanical construction experience.
  • Experience in industrial power generation infrastructure manufacturing or nuclear environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings specifications and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with inspections testing turnover documentation and NCR management.
  • Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated environments is considered an asset.
  • CWB ASME CSA or related quality certifications are considered assets.
  • Must be eligible to obtain andmaintainrequired nuclear security clearance and site access.
  • Successful completion of background screening and client-specific clearance requirements is.
