Job Summary

The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity safety and compliance of construction maintenance and turnaround activities across FLINT projects. This position is responsible for inspecting testing and evaluating components equipment and work processes to verify compliance with client specifications regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Working collaboratively with project teams operations clients subcontractors and quality personnel the Quality Inspector helps maintain FLINTs commitment to delivering safe reliable and high-quality project outcomes. This role requires a strong technical understanding of inspection practices quality control processes and applicable codes and standards along with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.

What would you be doing

Quality Inspection & Verification

Conduct inspections and quality verification activities to ensure work is completed in accordance with:

  • Client specifications and requirements
  • Applicable ASME and CSA code requirements
  • Project quality plans and procedures
  • Safety and regulatory standards
  • FLINT quality expectations

Inspection Coordination & Execution

Coordinate and oversee quality control activities including:

  • Inspection of flanged and welded connections
  • Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) activities
  • Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) activities
  • Pressure testing activities
  • Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) execution
  • Verification of quality documentation and records

Quality Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate and complete quality records by:

  • Ensuring required inspection documentation is completed and filed
  • Reviewing quality records for accuracy and compliance
  • Supporting audits and client reviews
  • Identifying deficiencies and supporting corrective actions
  • Ensuring adherence to established quality management procedures

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Support successful project delivery by:

  • Coordinating daily quality control activities with project teams
  • Communicating inspection findings and quality concerns
  • Assisting with resolution of quality-related issues
  • Promoting a culture of safety and quality excellence
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned

Qualifications :

  • CSA W178.2 Level I certification (or higher) with applicable endorsements and a valid eye exam.
  • Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in industrial construction maintenance turnarounds or oil and gas environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME and CSA code requirements with experience in welding torque and pressure testing procedures.
  • Technical education (WET MET or related discipline) or Journeyperson certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam with strong communication skills and the ability to maintain attention to detail in dynamic field environments.
