Job Summary
The client is seeking a candidate capable of reducing an existing QA backlog without a prolonged onboarding period. The job goes beyond manual testing: it involves converting an existing test case library to Gherkin/Cucumber scenarios as well as lightweight and targeted backend automation. The fixed-price context means the candidate must deliver with minimal supervision excluding profiles requiring mentoring or a learning curve. The term "immediately applicable expertise" indicates an expectation of productivity from the outset without a learning curve. The role therefore combines writing BDD scenarios and technical automation distinguishing this profile from a traditional manual tester.
We are looking for someone who can: quickly contribute to reducing QA backlogs; convert an existing library of manual test cases to Gherkin/Cucumber scenarios; participate in lightweight and targeted backend test automation; work with minimal supervision in a fixed-price project context; provide immediately applicable expertise to reduce the teams workload rather than requiring significant support.
