Project Manager
Job Summary
Location: Sherwood Park or Calgary Alberta (In-Office)
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage project plans timelines budgets and resource allocation across a diverse portfolio spanning emission reduction and carbon offset projects software and technology initiatives and funding programs.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central point of coordination between technical staff field teams clients and leadership to ensure projects stay on track and aligned with business objectives.
- Funding Program Management: Manage the end-to-end process of funding program applications and reporting requirements (e.g. ERA NGIF SRED) ensuring compliance accuracy and timely submission.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify project risks and roadblocks and implement clear mitigation and turn-around strategies to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Establish and monitor project milestones and KPIs providing regular status updates and reporting to leadership and clients.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes tools and operational efficiency across the organization.
Qualifications :
Qualifications / Experience
- Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of project management principles methodologies and tools; PMP or similar certification is an asset.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with oil and gas carbon markets or renewable energy sectors is a strong asset.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience managing projects ideally spanning technical software or regulatory/compliance domains.
- Track Record: Proven ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects on time and on budget.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort working with project management software data tracking tools and general technology platforms.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical and organizational skills able to manage competing priorities and keep complex projects moving forward.
- Education: Bachelors degree in business engineering project management or equivalent practical experience.
