Job Title: Project Controls LeadLocation: Cambridge ON On-siteJob Type: Full-TimeCompensation: $80000 - $105000Benefits: RRSP health/dental/vision package reimbursement for tuition and professional dues paid vacation personal days and sick daysThe Position:The Project Controls Lead will provide Project Controls oversight for all projects defined by our Project Operating Policy. The incumbent will provide operational leadership for the planning phase of all projects; ensuring proper handoff from Business Development to the Operations Project Team and ensure a highly effective internal kickoff and planning phase. The incumbent will lead the team to provide guidance policy process and escalation. The Project Controls Lead will work with the management team and plant personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture on time and on Youll Be Doing:Oversee and assist Project Management in the preparation of project planning deliverablesThroughout project execution monitor and control project budgets and schedules to ensure Projects stay within authorized budget and meet schedule targets in accordance with procedures and approved changeConduct ongoing review of project forecasts schedules budgets purchase order data change orders and contract statusAssists project team in facilitation and resolution of all open issues and risks identified during both the projected and planning phaseReview initial project and facilitate departmental buy-in to project budget schedule and scopeMonitor all progress by the project team during the projected and planning phase pinpoint issues with budget and scheduleEnsure contractual communication is clearly understood and the information is completely transferred from Applications through to Project ManagementReview new projects with Applications and Project Management to allocate budget and company resourcesMonitor and assist in initial schedule and budget development for new projects and liaises with department managers and Project/Program Managers to address issuesApproves final Budget Allocations prior to finishing the project planning phase in accordance with the authorized budgetParticipate in and oversee development of change order proposals ensure high risk changes receive appropriate schedule and cost estimate review by subject matter expertsConduct Project evaluations based on Earn Value Metrics to determine project performance trends in relation to Schedule and BudgetFollow up and review results with Project Management and determine necessary actionsProvides input with respect to changes/improvements to Project Management procedures and compliance programs as pertaining to the defined sector and resolution of any corrective actionsIn consultation with Applications engineering assists in the review of projected meeting readiness and development of related documentsProactively recognize issues initiate action assist in problem solving and evaluate results on major issues during the projected planning phase and with any development of Engineering Change RequestsLeadershipAct as a liaison between the Project Controls department and Executive Project Controls teamManage Project Controls projects and delegate tasks accordinglyEstablish regular audits of Project Controls systems and processesProvide regular project status and operational status updates to Department leadership on a regular basisUnderstand the business needs and prioritize efforts and strategy accordingly leveraging the broader team in projects and initiatives when appropriateProvide support and guidance to other members of the Project Controls team regarding policies and best practicesWork with Project team and Department Managers to correct any budgetary issuesRecommend and consistently administer policies process flow and procedures to enhance operationsAbility to motivate teams to collaborate on achieving budget and schedule targets within tight timeframes and simultaneously oversee several projects as it relates to cost controlAbility to communicate effectively with personnel resolve and trouble shoot potential problems with Project Managers and Department ManagersProject ExecutionWork requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetingsEnsure budget allocations are approved by Project TeamParticipate in Projected MeetingsExecute budget adjustments when required and enforce baselineAdhere to the Eclipse Project Operating PolicyEnsure scheduled milestones are metNotify the appropriate departments if milestones are not metMaintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate VisionEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc.
