Centre for Sexuality is a nationally recognized community-based organization delivering programs and services to normalize sexuality and sexual health across an individuals lifespan and we partner with individuals and organizations for the benefit of our clients and communities.

Sexual well-being for all is at the core of what we do. We teach we train and we advocate to support healthy bodies healthy relationships and healthy communities. We provide education training and counselling for everyone and have been leading the way in the areas of sexuality healthy relationships human rights gender identity sexual orientation equality and consent for over 50 years.

As the Program Coordinator Building Belonging you will play a key role in delivering inclusive programs and supports for 2SLGBTQ youth and their natural supports across Alberta. You will manage relationships with Family Resource Network (FRN) agencies facilitate programs provide individual support and systems navigation and build the capacity of community partners to provide 2SLGBTQ inclusive services. You will also support program evaluation reporting and continuous improvement.

As our successful candidate you will:

• Coordinate and deliver programs for 2SLGBTQ youth and their natural supports both virtually and in person adapting delivery to meet diverse learning needs and group dynamics while maintaining curriculum objectives and creating safe inclusive learning environments.
• Provide individual support and systems navigation to youth and their natural supports including information education referrals and connections to appropriate resources and C4S counselling services when required.
• Build capacity among Family Resource Network (FRN) agencies across Alberta through staff education co-facilitation consultation and sharing tools resources and promising practices for 2SLGBTQ inclusion.
• Coordinate program administration and project deliverables including scheduling logistics materials documentation communications workplan activities and participation in project and team meetings.
• Monitor evaluate and improve program delivery by tracking participation outcomes deliverables and expenses; contributing to reporting; identifying opportunities for improvement; and supporting the development and refinement of program materials.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with FRN agencies community partners and other stakeholders across Alberta to strengthen program reach engagement and impact including representing the Centre at relevant meetings events and networking opportunities.
• Stay current with relevant research and emerging practices in 2SLGBTQ inclusion sexual health relationship education social-emotional learning and violence prevention and apply this knowledge to program delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Attributes required:

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Social Work Human Services or Public Health or a related field or combination of education and relevant work experience with population specific programming.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience.
• Strong group facilitation experience with knowledge of group facilitation techniques and practices.
• Knowledge and comfort with topics related to sexuality sexual health gender and sexual and gender diversity will be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and foster collaborative relationships with community organizations and diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of community resources and the ability to make appropriate referrals.
• Demonstrated commitment to organizational values of social justice self-determination collaboration and prevention.
• Strong problem-solving communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate challenging or sensitive situations effectively.
• Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to lifelong learning and continuous program improvement.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced open-space work environment.

Additional requirements:

• Access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance with ability to travel throughout Alberta to support program delivery community engagement meetings and site visits.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
• Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search (or willingness to obtain one).
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to become certified).

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $67000 $73000 annually.
