With 200 dedicated full-time employees we make delicious desserts for customers across North America and beyond!Come join our sweet team as a Production Manager!Why Youll Love Working Here:Competitive Health Dental & Vision Benefits (100% employer paid)RRSP Matching Program3 Weeks Annual VacationAnniversary Paid Day OffPersonal Development/Education FundFitness ReimbursementSafety Shoe ReimbursementEmployee Referral BonusEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Rewards and Recognition Programs:Programs that recognize and reward employee achievements and Engagement:Opportunities to participate in community service and corporate social responsibility Workplace:An inclusive and diverse workplace where all employees are valued and Commitment:Work for a company committed to sustainability and making a positive impact on the Type:Permanent Full-timeHours: Work hours may vary between morning and afternoon shifts depending on operational and business Salary: $100K-$110KCore Responsibilities:Lead the engagement training and development of Bakery team members while embedding Lean behaviors and tools into daily waste reduction equipment uptime and bakery efficiency by applying Lean methodologies such as 5S visual management root cause analysis and standard a culture of employee ownership and continuous improvement (Kaizen) through problem-solving activities and daily full accountability for personnel safety and food safety in the bakery; lead by example and ensure GMP HACCP and BRC standards are consistently with cross-functional teams to identify improvement projects that reduce cost increase efficiency and improve and maintain standardized work instructions training matrices and execution plans that enable consistent performance and knowledge clearly and directly with employees concerning performance expectations productivity and monthly 1:1s and annual labor and work schedules to meet cost targets while maintaining flexibility for continuous improvement and participate in structured problem-solving (A3 PDCA root cause analysis) to resolve issues promptly and improve area operations processes equipment efficiency and service while applying Lean principles to ensure repeatability and the development of visual performance metrics (KPIs dashboards tier meetings) and ensure accountability to with PD and QA to ensure quality standards are met for new and existing products; provide operational input into cost models and process employee development opportunities and plan targeted training or coaching aligned with Lean capability Chudleighs Traits and foster an environment where employees feel empowered to contribute ideas and take ownership of performance contingency plans for personnel coverage and process reliability ensuring business by example coach for success and recognize team members for contributions to safety quality efficiency and tasks as Were Looking For:Minimum 4 years of food production/packaging experience (ideally frozen bakery).Minimum 2 years management/leadership experience or similar knowledge of quality HACCP and GMP KnowledgeDemonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement programs (preferred certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent)Bonus Points If You Have:Dessert Manufacturing Facility or Bakery problem-solving and ability to apply Lean tools to reduce waste and improve effectively cross-functionally to drive math skills including interpretation of graphs and compliance with Bill 190 we confirm that this job posting is for an existing vacancy within our organization.
