As a Process Innovation Intern within the NORAM Technologies & Products business line you will work directly with leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze current business processes identify inefficiencies and develop solutions that accelerate growth and enhance operational performance. You will leverage both traditional process improvement methodologies and emerging AI technologies to drive meaningful change across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
During this internship you may work on projects such as:
- Process Analysis & Optimization: Map and analyze current workflows across sales engineering and operations to identify bottlenecks redundancies and improvement opportunities
- Engineering Process Standardization: Work with engineering teams to streamline standardized processes system designs calculations and technical specifications to reduce project delivery time
- Workflow Automation: Identify and implement automation solutions for repetitive tasks such as report generation data entry document formatting and routine communications
- Content & Documentation Improvement: Develop and refine templates guidelines and standardized content for proposals RFP responses customer presentations and technical documentation
- Sales & Growth Analytics: Analyze sales data customer trends and market information to identify growth opportunities competitive insights and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
- Customer Experience Enhancement: Evaluate customer touchpoints and develop solutions to improve inquiry response times and information delivery
- Innovation Tool Evaluation: Research test and recommend process improvement tools and AI platforms that benefit the business; document successful use cases create implementation guides and support team training and adoption
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program in Engineering Business Industrial Engineering Operations Management Data Science or a related field with a minimum of 3 years completed
- Must be available to work full-time for the entire 12- to 16-month duration of the program
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and develop practical solutions
- Proven experience using AI tools like ChatGPT Claude Microsoft Copilot or similar platforms for real-world tasks
- Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to create clear professional business documents
- Data analysis capabilities - comfortable with Excel Google Sheets or similar tools to analyze trends and create visualizations
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and explain recommendations to diverse audiences

Compensation:
- The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute but a guide and offers will be based on the individual candidates knowledge skills experience and market conditions as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $21.63 - $27.30 CAD.
