Portfolio and Project Manager

The client is seeking a senior program manager capable of leading a major digital transformation program encompassing several interdependent IT and business projects not a single project manager.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a strategic advisor to executive bodies not just as an implementer reporting to a project committee. The terms "integrated governance" "strategic decision-making" and "prioritization of initiatives" indicate a portfolio management role not direct operational delivery.

The requirement of two management coaching mandates involving the implementation of tools indicates that the candidate must have a track record of transferring management skills not just implementation skills.

The Level 2 security clearance and the clause prohibiting participation in calls for tenders related to the Nova Program indicate a sensitive government context with exclusive mandates.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure integrated program governance and coherence between several interdependent initiatives
  
• Support strategic arbitration and decision-making at the executive level
  
• Coordinate several initiatives and multidisciplinary teams (IT and business) in parallel
  
• Lead the prioritization and management of interdependencies between projects
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

• No experience managing projects exceeding $10 million.
  
• No experience in coaching managers or implementing management processes.
  
• Candidate not willing to obtain a Level 2 security clearance or comply with the limited teleworking requirement in Quebec.
