Job Summary
Role Overview
The student Photographer/Videographer works alongside the MSA Communications Team to create compelling visual content that supports marketing initiatives and strengthens brand this role you will capture and produce photo and video content that reflects the student experience and aligns with MSA values and the Equity Sequence. You will contribute to a collaborative fast-paced environment bringing creativity technical skill and strong organizational abilities to deliver engaging student-focused storytelling.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to develop and execute photo and video content that aligns with the MSA brand values and marketing initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of photo and video shoots including concept development scheduling and communication with participants.
- Capture high-quality photo and video content at events in interviews and across Mohawk College campuses with a focus on storytelling and student engagement.
- Edit and produce polished content including post-production tasks such as audio mixing colour grading and formatting to meet deadlines.
- Organize and maintain digital assets using consistent file naming and storage practices to ensure accessibility and efficiency.
- Support ongoing and time-sensitive projects demonstrating flexibility responsiveness and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications Needed:
- Must be or will be enrolled in a Mohawk College program for the upcoming semester
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Customer service experience
- Must be available to work based on the business needs of the department through your school schedule
Knowledge Skills and Attitudes
- Demonstrated interest in creating engaging student-focused content for a post-secondary audience
- Proficiency in photography and videography using professional camera equipment with an understanding of composition and lighting
- Working knowledge of industry-standard editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Strong creative thinking and storytelling skills with attention to detail in both capture and post-production
- Excellent communication organization and time management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Role Overview
The Brand Ambassador Team Member is responsible for enhancing the student experience through inviting informing and inspiring all Mohawk Students to engage and participate in MSA opportunities events workshops and promotions at all campuses and partner locations. You will work closely with the Communications team to put together compelling social media deliverables and in-person activations to increase our brand reach and visibility while also providing content that is relevant and relatable to Mohawk College students.
Accountabilities
- Informs invites and inspires fellow students to participate in upcoming MSA events services and in-person engagement activations
- Helps in creating compelling social media posts on all MSA channels
- Provides ideas on trends and ways to incorporate best practices on social media to increase MSA brand visibility and awareness
- Supports the MSA in reaching students through in-person engagement activations
- Works towards helping connect students with the MSA brand and aids in educating that all students are the MSA
- Assists in sharing visibility to MSA initiatives to other student staff and general Mohawk College student body
- Embodies MSA mission vision and value statement
Qualifications Needed:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Willingness to learn and support the implementation of new best practices
- Comfortability being featured on camera for both photo and video deliverables
