Pharmasave #267 (Chase River) is looking for a part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Nanaimo British Focused Care Responsibilities:Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient careGreet customers and answer phone calls in a professional mannerAssist with entering labelling and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technicianAccurately count measure and package medications according to established protocolsReceive and stock medication and supply shipments monitor inventory levels rotate stock and support inventory auditsKeep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulationsPerform clerical tasks such as filing faxing scanning and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfersAssist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy with Kroll along with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry is considered an of a pharmacy assistant program is an verbal and written communication skills ability to thrive in a team environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containersWillingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as neededSchedule:20 to 24 hours per week (Part-time)The store operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 must have flexible availability and be able to work a variety of shifts including both weekdays and weekends as required by business We Are:Neighbourly Pharmacy is Canadas largest and fastest growing network of community pharmacies.
