About the role:
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor the Apprentice Partsperson is responsible for the receipt secure storage and proper issue of materials and supplies required for operations. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 schedule consisting of days and nights.
The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood B.C is necessary.
In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Ship receive and securely store materials
- Perform duties such as: setting min/max levels picking and filling orders cycle and inventory counts
- Operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner including industrial forklifts
- Perform heavy lifting in a safe manner
- Ensure the safe and productive completion of warehouse storage related projects and requirements in a fast-paced environment
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes
Requirements:
- Registered 2nd or 3rd year Partsperson (Warehouseperson)
- Valid drivers license
- Strong understanding of warehousing functions
- The ability to quickly master a materials management system
- Able to multi-task and meet challenges directly
- Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience in a mining or industrial environment is considered an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems

Hourly Wage: $47.17 - 48.83
This position focuses on supporting parts room operations and supply chain functions in an industrial setting including inventory control shipping and receiving and handling heavy mining components.
