Mechanical & Electrical Superintendent, Building Construction

Essential Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction to ensure alignment with approved plans specifications and building codes
• Contribute to M&E Scope of Work and Tender Packages by reviewing specifications drawings budgets and subcontractor contracts
• Develop and manage mechanical and electrical schedules including submissions deliveries installations and inspections track progress and address delays
• Support Project Managers and Superintendents with schedule updates RFIs shop drawing reviews and project completion requirements
• Plan and implement manpower levels material needs and equipment availability
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical work ensuring alignment with project requirements
• Resolve conflicts in structural mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on HVAC boilers chillers and other systems
• Oversee functional performance testing of building systems
• Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor progress
• Mentor and guide project team members to support their development and career growth
• Maintain project quality through compliance with the Project Quality Program

Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role managing large ICI construction projects with a focus on mechanical and electrical components
• Experience in full-cycle construction; healthcare and design-build project experience are preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC plumbing boilers chillers and electrical systems
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors ensure quality and maintain safety compliance
• Familiarity with OH&S and environmental standards
• Exceptional communication interpersonal and leadership skills
• Valid drivers license and ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience knowledge skills education and location.
