Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to diagnose repair maintain and service vehicles machinery and mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge troubleshooting abilities and a commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Inspect diagnose repair and maintain vehicles machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
- Identify mechanical electrical and hydraulic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools.
- Replace or repair damaged components engines transmissions brakes suspension systems and other mechanical parts.
- Perform oil changes lubrication adjustments and equipment servicing.
- Read and interpret technical manuals service documents and mechanical diagrams.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure equipment meets required operating standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections repairs parts and maintenance activities.
- Use hand tools power tools diagnostic equipment and workshop machinery safely.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to complete repair and maintenance work efficiently.
- Follow Canadian workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in Mechanics or a related field is preferred.
- 25 years of relevant mechanical experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Experience using mechanical and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read technical manuals diagrams and service documentation.
- Good problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid drivers licence may be required depending on the position.
- Red Seal certification or provincial trade certification is an asset for applicable mechanic positions.
- Ability to work safely in a workshop industrial construction or field environment.
