Material Handler

Location: Windsor ON
Cannon Automotive a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler in our Windsor Ontario Stamping Facility. The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

• Operates equipment including but not limited to forklifts pallet jacks handtrucksor dolliesrequiredto move or reorganize storage.
• Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory delivering production materials and supplieswhere needed and staging finished product for final distribution
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production schedule
• Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area
• Emptying scrap hoppers
• Bin audits (dunnage audits). Verify that bins are in safe working conditions before use.
• Retain knowledge of proper packaging and shipping procedures so materials are shipped safely
• Maintain equipment by regularly cleaning and inspecting it repairs reported as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the management team
• Abide by all Company policies including but not limited to the following: Health and Safety Environmental Quality Human Resources policies and the Employee Handbook

• Valid drivers licence and clean drivers abstract
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to find information document relevant information and knowledge of computers
• Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
• Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)

• Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset
• 1-3 years experience in a production environment
