We are on a journey of continuous growth now looking for our next star a passionate Manufacturing Engineer. This position reports to Operations Engineering Manager and will work in Vancouver BC.

Vancouver:

Dometic Marines headquarters are in Vancouver British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic electronic and combustion-based products.

As Manufacturing Engineer of the Vancouver Team you will provide engineering expertise in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and custom production assembly/test equipment to provide a safe manufacturing environment that enables Dometic to achieve on time delivery of quality and cost effective products.

General Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of core manufacturing quality and risk-management documents
• Assess and define production assembly and test process/equipment requirements and define corresponding budgets and schedules
• Design source build validate and implement equipment and processes into production
• Prepare documentation for production equipment - drawings schematics work instructions calibration procedures maintenance plans etc
• Champion new product launch and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support production equipment uptime

Skills & Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will bring the following qualifications and experiences:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Electro-Mechanical or Automation Engineering
• 5 years in the development of automated equipment
• Experienced with all aspects of custom equipment development & integration including mechanical design and the selection/integration of hydraulic pneumatic electrical/ sensor technologies.
• Strong 3D CAD modelling/drawing skills (Creo). Experienced with GD&T.
• PLC programming experience and proven ability to select/integrate sensors and controls with DAQ/ PLC systems as well as wire basic low voltage electrical panels.
• Excellent hands-on skills and a strong mechanical aptitude.
