Job Summary

emergiTEL is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for our client in the Pulp & Paper industry. This is a Permanent role.
Location: Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Mill Corner Brook Newfoundland CA
Role: Maintenance Supervisor
Salary range:$100000-$120000
Industry: Pulp & Paper
Reporting To: Maintenance Superintendent
Overview:

Responsible for the day-to-day execution of all maintenance activities in the mill.
Supervises members of the mechanical trades team.

Responsibilities:

Adhere to and promote company safety and environmental policies.
Coach and support the maintenance team on leadership values and work assignments.
Ensure equipment availability and reliability through preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
Participate in team-based problem-solving initiatives to address operational issues.
Maintain accurate work history documentation within the Maintenance Management System.
Support and monitor departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications & Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Engineering Engineering Technology or a related discipline or a Red Seal certification in a relevant trade.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
Experience in a pulp and paper environment is considered an asset.
Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Technology experience is an asset.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate team members.
Excellent communication organizational analytical problem-solving and project management skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends when required.
Successful candidate must provide a Certificate of Conduct from a local police agency or the RCMP prior to employment.
