Responsibilities

  • Proactively plan and coordinatethefull-cyclelogistic processfornational tointernationaloutbound and inboundshipments.
  • Support the Program Manager with the logisticdetails related to complex shipments.
  • Prepareandprocess online customsinformationand documentationfor international shipments.
  • Act as primary representative forinternal and externallogisticsinquiries.
  • Oversee quality management of shipmentsdocumentationandcommunication with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communicate and documentdangerous goodsshipments.
  • Schedule incoming shipmentsfromthird-party vendors.
  • Reportknown and foreseeable workflow safety compliance shipmentdiscrepanciesdelaysand/or concernstomanagementin real-time.
  • Maintainshipmenttracking systemsand documentationin real-time.
  • Coordinate and delegate material handling tasks to teams.
  • Contributetoand seek input forcontinuous improvement ofworkflow efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assistthe leadership team with reporting data management and ad-hoc projects.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and other departments and leadership.
  • Manage inventory movement between company warehouseand third-party off site storage location.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary certificate/ diploma in a Business related field equivalent career experience in Shipping & Receiving or Logistics.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience planning coordinating delegating managing team communication and handling escalations.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience using Sage or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • High competency level of computer and technology capabilities using Microsoft products internet quoting tools and research.
  • Training certifications: Dangerous Goods Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS. Forklift certification an asset. (current holder or ability to successfully obtain).
  • Experience with trade compliance and export regulations seen as an asset.

Security Requirements

All candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security clearances.
