Job Summary

Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our this role you will perform laboratory testing quality control analysis and sample collection while supporting production and field operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both laboratory work and working outdoors in a technical environment.

Job Responsibilities

Perform routine and advanced laboratory testing on raw materials and finished products.
Conduct physical and chemical analysis including particle size testing.
Operate calibrate maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
Record and maintain accurate laboratory results and documentation.
Collect and analyze samples from production and field operations.
Support quality control initiatives to ensure product consistency.
Conduct field data collection using GPS equipment.
Operate drones for site inspections and stockpile measurements (training or certification is an asset).
Process survey and field data into reports and operational records.
Assist with production support activities including sampling documentation and inventory tracking.
Enter production and laboratory data into company systems.
Maintain a clean organized and safe laboratory environment.
Follow all health safety environmental and quality procedures.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Science Chemistry Engineering Mining Technology Mineral Technology or a related field.
25 years of experience in laboratory testing quality control manufacturing or a related technical environment.
Experience operating laboratory instruments and performing analytical testing.
Experience with GPS equipment field data collection or drone operations is considered an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or laboratory systems is an asset.
Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
Combination of laboratory and outdoor work.
Exposure to dust noise and varying weather.
Regular walking standing climbing and lifting.
