Kitchen Driver

Location: Ottawa ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Reporting to the Head Chef the Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of meals snacks supplies and other items between the Kids & Company central kitchen and our Ottawa child care centres. The Driver plays an important role in ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently while maintaining food safety standards and providing excellent service to our centres.

• Safely deliver meals snacks and kitchen supplies to Kids & Company child care centres throughout Ottawa.
• Follow designated delivery routes and schedules to ensure all deliveries arrive on time.
• Load unload and transport food containers and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all food is transported according to food safety and temperature control requirements.
• Verify delivery contents and maintain accurate delivery records as required.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and centre teams regarding deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns promptly.
• Comply with all company policies Ministry regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Assist with the transportation of supplies equipment and materials between centres as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid G Class Drivers License with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience preferred.
• Experience delivering food supplies or commercial goods is considered an asset.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Ottawa roads and surrounding areas.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.
• Ability to frequently lift carry push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable punctual and dependable.
• Successful candidates must provide two pieces of valid government-issued identification and be able to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM (15 hours per week)
