The Opportunity
Were seeking a motivated Junior Project Analyst with experience in complex job costing and operational accounting who is ready to grow their career. The Junior Project Analyst is a vital link between our Operations Project Management and Finance teams. As a key relationship builder youll enable accurate project reporting and empower decision-makers through timely insights clear communication and responsive support across the project lifecycle. Success in this role requires a collaborative mindset approachability and strong analytical skills.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Operate in accordance to and uphold Emil Anderson Group (EAG) Core Values in all aspects of your work.

- Ensure project setups in the ERP systemincluding contracts change orders purchase orders and subcontract complianceare accurate and align with operational requirements.
- Review project costs payroll hoursand expense classifications ahead of billing cycles to assist operations with financial clarity.
- Prepare job cost adjustments and month-end accruals to ensure that costs are recognized accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate monthly invoicing progress claims and holdback processing in accordance with contract terms and project schedules.
- Track and manage accounts receivable; conductbilling analysis to support cash flow and financial health across projects.
- Build strong working relationships with project teams accounting leadership and external stakeholders (e.g. joint venture partners) to foster transparency and trust.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (Operations Accounting Project Management) to ensure consistency in financial processes and help clarify financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Your Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in project accounting job costing cost control or operational financepreferably in construction civil or heavy industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of contract requirements for billing subcontract compliance change orders and holdbacks.
- Proficient in financial systems (experience with Vista Viewpoint is a strong asset); familiarity with ERP setups reporting tools (e.g. Excel advanced features such as PivotTablesLookups etc.)
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and data interpretation skills. Ability toidentifyvariances root causes and to communicate findings clearly.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Able to manage and prioritize multiple competing tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Post-secondary educationin Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
