Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and promote the company safety culture
  • Focus on the quality of design work in accordance with the project/Hatch procedures
  • Develop a good understanding of Hatch standards and industry best practice
  • Produce piping Material Take Offs (MTOs)
  • Develop a good understanding of piping systems and their applications
  • Design and drafting of piping/mechanical plant models using piping specifications and procedures under supervision
  • Draft piping and components for P&IDs
  • Develop designs using vendor drawings under supervision
  • Locate and select pipe supports with piping stress analyst input
  • Extract ISOs under supervision
  • Produce design deliverables including P&IDs under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma equivalent diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to take instruction.
  • Proficient in an industry standard 2D design package.
  • Experience of 3D equipment modeling and 3D piping design.
  • Working knowledge of piping components and materials.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
