Junior Application Support Analyst
Job Summary
Tech Talent International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US and Europe.
We currently have a role as a Junior Application Support Analyst with our large consulting client working onsite at a major financial services client in the downtown Montreal area.
Role: Cybersecurity - Junior Application Support Analyst
Type: Permanent or Contract 40 hrs/week
Location: Hybrid - Downtown Montreal QC -(roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite 2 days from home)
Salary: $55000 - $60000 9% bonus 3-5 weeks paid vacation RRSP contribution benefits sick/personal days
Role Overview
Responsibilities
Deliver day-to-day services to clients investment and corporate banking units and their clients as part of the Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) including build test security scanning and deployments.
- Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline failures and support release activities.
- Support DevSecOps practices including vulnerability remediation audits and compliance evidence collection.
- Perform certificate renewals secrets rotation and environment changes.
- Integrate and maintain automated testing (unit component system) within pipelines.
- Provide Level 2/3 production support with limited Level 1 support.
- Monitor batch jobs and scheduling tools such as AutoSys or Airflow.
- Investigate production incidents perform root cause analysis and implement fixes or workarounds.
- Perform basic Linux and Windows system administration and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with infrastructure development security and global support teams.
- Participate in change management processes production releases and maintenance weekends.
- Continuously improve monitoring documentation and automation.
Requirements
- Ability to read code and develop intermediate-level scripts and programs to support complex applications.
- Ability to work with APIs and write programs to develop or consume existing APIs.
- Ability to prioritize production issues based on business impact and urgency.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell Batch and Unix.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize activities across multiple applications.
- Knowledge of the financial industry.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Fluency in English and French.
Nice to have
- Python scripting experience.
- Basic Java knowledge.
- Cloud exposure particularly Azure.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience using Airflow.
- Knowledge of APIs networking concepts firewalls and whitelisting.
- Experience with JIRA or similar ticketing tools.
- ITIL or FRM certification.
