IT Application Support Administrator Term for Approximately 2-Years
Job Summary
The Opportunity
The IT Application Support Administrator is responsible for the support maintenance and testing of end-user applications as well as management of user access through the Request of Access (RFA) process. This role will work closely with business team members to troubleshoot incidents re-create scenarios and test solutions and on-going software upgrades. The IT App Support Admin is also responsible for the generation and support of daily weekly and/or monthly reports for business units. Furthermore they are responsible for ensuring that process and procedure documentation is updated regularly.
This is a term role for approximately 2-years.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Manager IT Application Support
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one end user support and problem resolution via telephone email instant messaging and in person for business applications
- Develop effective relationships with representatives of the organizations Business Units to ensure software solutions effectively meet business needs and strategic initiatives.
- Liaise with 2nd and 3rd level IT support staff to escalate and resolve issues more efficiently
- Work effectively with third-party vendors of software and services to coordinate and implementation tasks
- Assist with processing RFAs and/or role changes daily hire/rehire/terminations for users by indicated requirement date
- User access administration in various software products
- Perform regression testing for application updates and feature releases
- Perform daily monitoring tasks
- Generate reports
- Maintain application user guides and access administration documentation as needed
Secondary Responsibilities
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required
- Conduct training sessions and/or create training materials for end users

- Perform other related duties as assigned; occasional travel as required
Qualifications
As a qualified candidate you will have:
- 1 3 years of experience working in an IT application support role
- Diploma in Computer Technology or related equivalent
As the ideal candidate you will also have:
- Experience providing second-level support for systems troubleshooting and problem resolution.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
