Investment Consultant
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented professional to join Marshs Investment team. This role will be based in Montreal and follows a hybrid work model with a requirement to work in the office at least three days per week.
As an Investment Consultant you will provide a comprehensive range of services to institutional clients including defined benefit pension plans endowments and foundations. You will be part of a team that delivers innovative high-quality solutions designed to help clients make the best risk-adjusted return decisions while taking into account their liabilities and spending commitments.
What You Will Do
- Support senior investment consultants on mid-sized and large client accounts actively participate in client meetings and progressively take on greater responsibilities.
- Serve as the primary consultant for small and medium-sized clients by delivering services identifying issues and opportunities for improvement making recommendations managing client relationships and leading client meetings.
- Demonstrate expertise in investment strategies defined benefit plans and related regulatory and governance considerations and actively contribute to client discussions.
- Support organizations in integrating environmental social and governance (ESG) factors into their policies and investment practices.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships identify opportunities to expand Marshs services and contribute to overall client satisfaction.
- Manage and mentor junior team members while ensuring operational excellence and the timely delivery of client work.
What You Need to Have
- A bachelors degree in business finance economics or a related field with strong quantitative and analytical coursework.
- Five to ten years of experience working with defined benefit plans as a consultant or relationship manager.
- Five to ten years of investment experience with defined benefit plan experience as a consultant relationship manager or investment manager.
- Strong communication skills in both English and French as this role requires regular interaction with clients and colleagues outside Quebec.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of the institutional investment industry and financial markets.
