We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our this role you will leverage your experience to lead and shape projects across various sectors including commercial institutional educational and some industrial. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring a team of structural engineers guiding them through projects while also fostering client relationships.

This is a hybrid role that could be based out of either our Bowmanville office or Mississauga offices (2 days at the office).

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee or directly contribute to the structural design of buildings including commercial institutional educational sports & recreation healthcare airports transportation and industrial.
• Preparation of technical drawings and specifications
• Complete condition assessments of existing infrastructure and buildings
• Work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion
• Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program
• Manage the work of team of junior engineers and technologists
• Manage structurally design on multi disciplinary projects
• Prepare proposals
• Lead design of concrete steel and mass timber structures.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in design construction and project management of structural buildings projects
• Membership as Engineer from Professional Engineer Ontario (PEO)
• PSPC Reliability Clearance is an asset
• Experience leading structural design of buildings while working in multidisciplinary teams
• Team Spirit - Able to work with multi disciplinary teams
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of structural analysis software and design tools (eg SAP2000 or similar)
• In depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and Canadian design standards.
• Autonomy initiative and strong teamwork skills.
• Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle (for site visits as required).

The expected salary for this position is from $92800 to $127600 based on the richness and diversity of the candidates experience training skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
