Interior Design Technician

Full-Time Hybrid Oakville ON

David Small Designs is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Design Technician to join our team in a full-time hybrid role based in Oakville Ontario.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in residential construction and detailing who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment and takes pride in producing accurate high-quality drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawing packages and revisions with speed and accuracy
• Produce millwork detailing and coordination drawings
• Assist with interior architectural detailing and technical documentation
• Coordinate closely with Interior Designers and Architectural teams
• Manage drawing revisions and updates efficiently across multiple projects
• Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout all project phases

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience (excluding co-op placements)
• Strong technical understanding of residential construction and detailing
• Experience with custom residential projects preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and coordination skills

Software Requirements

• AutoCAD (required)
• SketchUp experience considered an asset
