Location: Regina or Saskatoon
Pay Range: $55215 - $65720

Work Location: This role is eligible for hybrid this means youll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office (in either Regina or Saskatoon) on a scheduled rotation once probation requirements have been met. Until then the successful incumbent will be expected to work on-site full-time.

The Image Appraiser is responsible for the online review and approval of vehicle appraisals/supplements through an electronic estimating platform for the purpose of determining unit repair costs and values. The Image Appraiser uses judgement in the approval process and determination of repair ability thresholds.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Appraisal Image Review

  • Reviews and approves prepared vehicle appraisals or supplements.

  • Ensures repair firm estimates are compliant with SGI policy and procedures.

  • Compares prepared vehicle appraisals or supplements using images to determine if the requested judgment/repair times are supported.

  • Researches and investigates claim-related data to determine if damage is accident related.

  • Identifies potential total losses and initiates the stop work process in accordance with the terms listed in the Appraisal Policy Manual.

  • Liaises with auto body shops daily reviewing appraisal discrepancies and/or required appraisal changes.

  • Discusses and explains appraisal details to auto body shops and adjusters.

  • Determines depreciation on damaged vehicle parts.

  • Reviews and approves labour time and parts required for repair paint or replacement

  • Interprets flat rate information to determine correct replacement times and paint times as required.

  • Reviews/approves repair frame and painting times not covered by flat rate manuals.

  • Approves additions to repair accounts if required.

  • Provides input to assist in identifying opportunities on post-repair audit issues.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Knowledge of estimating/claims software programs.

  • Knowledge of SGI appraisal policies procedures and programs.

  • Knowledge of flat rate manuals related to all light vehicle makes.

  • Knowledge in estimating damage of various types of motor vehicles including sheet metal and refinishing work.

  • Knowledge of motor vehicle construction repair and mechanical operation.

  • Knowledge of OEM and industry repair processes and procedures for new and emerging vehicle technologies.

  • Knowledge of SGI auto adjusting policies and procedures.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12/GED

  • Platinum I-CAR certification (Auto-Physical Damage Appraiser Role).

  • Possession of a valid drivers licence.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1 3 years relevant industry experience.
