EXP is seeking a experienced Hydrogeologist to join our Geo-Environmental Group in Cambridge Ontario. This role offers the opportunity to lead meaningful work on complex infrastructure and municipal projects and we are looking for a motivated professional who is ready to contribute expertise mentor others and help drive the continued growth of our team.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

As a member of the Hydrogeology team you will provide technical and project support across a broad range of assignments including:

• Partnering with clients to understand needs and deliver practical value driven solutions
• Leading and shaping scopes of work for public and private clients on small to large scale infrastructure projects
• Managing and Executing hydrogeological studies including:
  oGroundwater resource development
  oGroundwater Characterization Studies including chemistry analysis and interpretations
  oStudies to support septic applications including LSSDS
  oConstruction dewatering programs
  oPump test design analysis and interpretation
  oMunicipal Sewer discharge studies reports and permits
  oMECP Permits (dewatering ECAs)
• Project management and coordination of site investigation and compliance programs
  Coordinating and supervising field programs
• Reviewing and guiding the technical work of junior and intermediate staff
• Preparing and reviewing high quality technical reports
• Supporting proposal development and contributing to business growth
  
  

What your experience looks like

• University degree in Hydrogeology Geology or a related discipline
  (Masters degree is an asset)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in physical hydrogeology
• Strong field based experience in groundwater supply hydrogeological investigations and assessments
• Professional designation in Ontario (. or .) is an asset
• Experience with GIS/CAD programs and groundwater modelling is an asset
• Proven success developing client relationships and contributing to winning proposals
• Hands on experience working with MECP municipalities and Conservation Authorities
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary projects from planning through delivery
• Strong business acumen and a practical solution focused mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
• Experience leading mentoring and developing junior staff
• Comfortable operating in a high demand fast paced environment

This job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.

The salary range for this role is between $65K - $85K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location.
