HVAC Chiller Technician

SUMMARY

We are looking to hire a Chiller Technician to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Experience in on-demand service calls on commercial industrial and institutional chiller equipment specializing in Chillers and Cooling Towers
• Able to perform planned maintenance on centrifugal screw reciprocating and scroll compressors; with York Daikin Trane Carrier Smardt Arctic Cool Tandem and Multistack chillers.
• Experience conducting or assisting overhauls on chillers troubleshooting and diagnosing repairs needed.
• Remains current with new technology and ability to adapt
• Read interpret create and maintain drawings and specifications.
• Install air conditioning heating and related equipment and components.
• Overhaul and service air conditioning heating units and systems.
• Repair replace and adjust worn or broken components on HVAC equipment
• Repair and adjust refrigeration valves piping connections fittings and couplings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with heating and air conditioning systems.
• Install motors thermostats humidistats and other HVAC components
• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned apprentices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Other duties as required
• Provide exceptional customer service

Qualifications:

• HVAC License & Gas required
• 5 years experience in service and maintenance of chillers
• Manufacturer training is an asset
• Possess a valid driver license with a clean driving record.

This is a regular full-time position with a salary range as per collective agreement.
