Housekeeper/Cook Toronto ON
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Cook for a private residence located in Toronto. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence along with regular meal preparation. This position is full-time live-out Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
Candidate Profile:
You are an experienced and well-rounded housekeeper who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You have a strong understanding of household hygiene and cleaning best practices. You are a strong cook are comfortable with meal prep and can confidently follow a recipe. Bonus if you can meal plan and manage kitchen inventories. You have a good eye for detail. You are a go getter and will do what is needed to get the job done.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Daily housekeeping which includes dusting vacuuming kitchen and bathroom cleaning washing floors
- Preparing dinners for the family prepping groceries stocking the fridge with snacks and other items as needed
- Maintain household inventory prepare household inventory checklists
- Daily laundry with some occasional ironing steaming and stain removal
- Trash and recycling management
- Running errands grocery shopping and other provisioning as needed
- Cover and uncover outdoor furniture
- Special projects include but not limited to quarterly deep cleans household cupboard reorganization vacuuming vehicle interiors and garage
- Other duties as required from time to time
Applicant Qualities:
- Must have previous experience working in a private residence
- Excellent housekeeping laundry and ironing skills correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces. This client prefers all natural cleaning products
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills
- Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times exercise diplomacy discretion and respect of boundaries
- Valid Ontario drivers license
- Access to a personal vehicle is an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
