HealthOPM is currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Housekeeper to support a retirement home in Goderich Ontario.

The successful candidate will help maintain a clean safe comfortable and welcoming environment for residents staff and visitors. This is a casual position with shifts based on the facilitys staffing needs.

• Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the retirement home.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms common areas bathrooms dining areas and other designated spaces.
• Perform dusting sweeping vacuuming and mopping.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and frequently used areas.
• Follow proper infection prevention and cleaning procedures.
• Safely use cleaning products supplies and equipment.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and report shortages or equipment issues.
• Follow all facility health safety and sanitation policies.
• Respect residents privacy dignity and personal belongings while performing housekeeping duties.
• Report safety hazards maintenance concerns or other issues to the appropriate staff.
• Work collaboratively with the facility team to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Previous housekeeping cleaning hospitality healthcare or retirement-home experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable punctual and professional.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact respectfully with seniors and residents.
• Physically capable of performing housekeeping duties including standing walking bending and lifting.
• Willingness to follow facility policies and infection-control procedures.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) required or willing to obtain one.
• Reliable transportation to the Goderich facility is an asset.
