As a Group Collections & Commissions Specialist Senior you will serve as a trusted subject matter expert solving complex business challenges driving process improvements and partnering with stakeholders across Sales Finance Operations IT Legal Compliance and Audit. You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two (2) assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum youll do:Investigate and resolve complex inquiries related to Group Advisor and MGA contracting compensation licensing E&O requirements and payment processing using FASAT BMS and related administration as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Group Collections and Commissions processes systems and projects including FASAT FASATWeb BMS Equinet OnBase Tandem and BMO banking and resolve complex Group Collections inquiries from internal and external stakeholders including Group Offices Clients Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and regional sales advisor and MGA compensation programs including overrides sweep-ups special bonuses financing arrangements and unique payment schedules while ensuring accurate and timely complex Group Collections activities including incoming payments premium reconciliations TPA bill setup and processing PAD withdrawals outstanding payment follow-up suspense account reviews and bank advisor debt management issues and coordinate collection activities including working with collection agencies when and review advanced Excel-based reconciliations financial analyses journal entries and ad hoc reporting to support business decisions and issue User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for projects impacting Group Collections and Commissions processes and systems including identifying test scenarios analyzing results and recommending operational risks policy exceptions and process gaps escalating issues and providing recommendations to the accurate processing of Accounts Payable transactions and employee expense reimbursements ensuring compliance with company policies and in internal audits compliance reviews and control assessments while supporting the implementation of corrective actions and process maintain and enhance process documentation user guides and training mentor and provide ongoing support to team members on Group Collections Commissions Accounts Payable and expense reimbursement with Legal Compliance Group Office Finance Audit IT and Sales teams to ensure service excellence and regulatory workload management across the Group Collections and Commissions team while contributing to continuous improvement strong internal controls service standards and operational excellence are maintained across all assigned responsibilitiesWhat youll bring:Post-secondary education in Business Finance Accounting or a related 5 years of Group Collections and Commissions experience within the insurance CEBS LOMA or other industry designations and courses are considered an -depth knowledge of Group Collections and Commissions processes advisor compensation structures licensing requirements Errors & Omissions (E&O) requirements and TPA knowledge of FASAT BMS and related Group administration understanding of Accounts Payable employee expense reimbursement processes and accounting Microsoft Office skills including Excel (pivot tables advanced reconciliations reporting and analysis) Word PowerPoint Outlook and analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues and identify practical ability to prepare and analyze complex reconciliations involving compensation premium collections banking transactions and financial attention to detail and commitment to accuracy particularly when managing payment banking and financial ability to work independently prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization including Legal Compliance Audit Finance IT and Sales customer service orientation with professional phone and email leadership coaching and training capabilities including experience delivering one-on-one and group training -motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to enhancing processes controls and service positive patient and collaborative with the ability to build strong working relationships across the organizationWhats in it for you:Career Growth: Regular learning sessions and developmentopportunitiesTotal Rewards: Incentive pay annual salary reviews employer-paid benefits and pensionmatchingTime Away: Competitive vacation plus one paid volunteer day each yearFlexibility: Healthy work-life balance with employee wellness always top of mind complemented by a dress for your day approachAs part of the recruitment process candidates may be asked to complete an Equitable were committed to fair pay and an inclusive accessible hiring experience.
