The opportunity

• Use Autodesk (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and Bentley (MicroStation Power InRoads) software to design and detail sites roads drainage systems utilities as well as site grading and earthworks
• Use Hydraulic modeling tools such as InfoWorks Hydraflow PCSWMM and EPANET to analyze and design stormwater sanitary and potable water systems
• Research and apply codes specifications and standards for design of the above elements
• Coordinate with other teams to apply skills in delivering sustainable outcomes
• Apply understanding of all phases of the planning design and construction process
• Research requirements of regulatory environment for gaining approval at different stages of project delivery
• Engage with project collaborators and clients to develop designs thatmeetsneeds and concerns
• Support development of technical documentation including reports presentations memos calculation packages and specifications

Is this role right for you

• Bachelors degree or higher in civil engineering or relevant engineering degree
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
• Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals
• Experience with CAD software
• Professional demeanor
• Good interpersonal skillsneededfor team-based working
• Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
• Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
• Must be highly motivated proactive and willing to address new challenges
• Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future

• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Recently graduated or on track to graduate from your most recent degree related to your role of choice before employment starts

Ottawa Hiring Range Hiring Range- The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performedin Ottawa is $70250 to $72250 per year. This range iscommensuratewith experience educational background and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring range for candidates performing work outside of Ottawa will differ.
